Privacy Policy

Friedberg Economics Institute (RA) (“Friedberg Economics Institute”, “FEI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use our website located at www.fei.org.il (the “Site”) and/or when you participate in our seminar application and selection processes and/or in FEI’s Alumni Network activities (together, the “Services”).
By using the Site and/or submitting an application to a seminar and/or participating in Alumni Network activities, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
You may contact us with any question or request relating to your information, including requests to access information, as detailed below.

Information We Collect Directly From You
Contacting FEI
If you contact us by email or through a contact form on the Site, we collect your full name, phone number, email address, and the content of your inquiry. By contacting us, you consent in advance to our responding to you and to our storing your inquiry in FEI’s systems.
Newsletter and Updates
If you register to receive newsletters or updates, we collect your full name and email address.
Applying to FEI Seminars
FEI holds fully subsidized economics seminars for student leaders selected at FEI’s discretion following a short selection process as described on the Site.
If you wish to apply to a seminar, you must register via the Site and complete an application questionnaire and upload documents about you, which may include: full name, email, address, national ID number, phone number, employment history, military service, education and additional information and documents as set out in the questionnaire. We use this information to get to know you and to assess your candidacy.
After you submit your application, and if you are found suitable, you may be invited to an assessment day and interview. We will retain information collected about you during the selection process to consider your candidacy, as further detailed below.
Your details may also be shared with service providers and vendors assisting us with the selection process and/or the operation of the seminars and Alumni Network and/or with FEI donors. We and those parties will use your details to assess your candidacy, to select, operate and manage the seminars and FEI activities, and to invite you to take part in future activities.
If you are not accepted to a seminar, we will delete the information and documents received about you during the selection stages within 24 months from the date of selection, except for your full name, role and place of work, phone number and email address, which we may retain in order to send you updates about FEI’s activities and other promotional material.
If you are accepted to a seminar, you will be asked during registration to approve a separate privacy and consent form.
Alumni Network
If you have been accepted to and have participated in one of our seminars, you become part of FEI’s Alumni Network, comprising graduates across the Israeli economy. Alumni benefit from meetings with economists and opinion leaders and from networking throughout the year. We will use your details to send you updates and invitations to Alumni Network activities.

If you contact us through our social media pages, we may collect: full name, contact details such as phone number or email address, the content of your inquiry, and any other personal information you choose to provide.
Note: You are under no legal obligation to provide any of the above details; provision of information is subject to your free will and consent. However, if you choose to provide details, they must be accurate and complete. Providing incorrect information may prevent you from using the Site as intended and may impede our ability to consider your seminar candidacy, respond to your inquiry and/or invite you to participate in FEI activities.
Direct Marketing Consent (Israel): Contacting us by email and/or completing online forms on the Site each constitutes your express consent to receive promotional messages (SMS) and marketing emails and newsletters from FEI and/or on its behalf, in accordance with Section 30A of the Israeli Telecommunications (Bezeq and Broadcasting) Law, 1982. You may opt out at any time by emailing info@fei.org.il, and we will remove you from our mailing list and cease the service.
